Surrey History Centre Talk

On Saturday 28th April at 2pm Lesley Hoskins will talk at Surrey History Centre about Pets and their People, 1850-1950.

After tracing the changing status of pets in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, Lesley will be examining some photograph albums and a dairy (from the 1880s and the 1940s) held at the Surrey History Centre to see what light they can throw on the relationship between particular families and their animals in the past. Afterwards audience members are invited to share their own histories of pets.
